This past week has been a no show for me. I did check email for the week, and talk to students as needed, but did very little engaging on the discussion boards.
I feel like this is the week of the semester that the students start to see the bigger picture of family history. There is so much to the principles behind this work, but most of us see it as the records gathering process only.
This week they interviewed someone about one of their ancestors. It should be the start of some wonderful, and often heart wrenching, gathering. Now I just need to figure out how to encourage them to do more investigating of stories while they research.
